My current collage work is “painted” from a palette of collected fabrics and threads—fragments and pieces of woven color and pattern that I assemble as substrate before hand-stitching added details.

DAVID A. MARWITZ, a hidden poet for more than twenty years, holds the self-declared title of El Poete, the result of many years of communicating with one of his nieces living in Spain. David is a reader and communicator above all else, but also an avid follower of traditional country and western music.

His degree in gerontology and studies in human services prompted his interest in multiple social issues at an early age. David has raised funds for the building of a library in Vietnam for the organization Room to Read. He is a former board member of Lobby for Hope and is an advocate for the plight of the homeless and of gun safety.

CARLY is a three-legged coonhound rescue with a beautiful “paint job.” She’s still trying to figure out what to do with all the tumbleweeds in Far West Texas.
